purple kinda phantom duochromey nails. one coat of ulta3 orchid, two coats of color club alias, which looks fantastically multichromey glass flecky in the bottle, but not so much on the nail. it’s still a very pretty colour though.
Work nails this week. I was going to wear Ulta3 Beesting by itself, but came out as the beautifully coloured but horrendously streaky hot mess shown in the first picture above. Bit disappointing as I love the colour. I “saved” it by layering a thin coat of Color Club Wild and Willing on top, then Rimmel Pro Finish Matte Topcoat to take the shine down a notch, and the result came out pretty good. Not what I was wanting but I’ll take it.
Germany nail art - order vs. chaos. Done as a request for one of my German friends to support Germany in Euro 2012.

The left hand (order) was done using regular household sticky tape cut into strips. I painted the whole nail red, stuck the tape on, then painted gold on the tip and black on the cuticle end.
The right hand (chaos) was done using dotting tools for the leopard print and stripes on the pinky, the bottle brush for the middle finger, and painting layers of colours then gently wiping them away with a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover on the ring finger.
Work nails this week: Ulta3 Dusty Rose (2 reasonably self levelling coats, I think nail polish thinner improved the consistency somewhat) topped with one coat of China Glaze White Cap.
I’m doing my friend’s nails this weekend for her engagement party and am a little nervous as I’ve never done anyone else’s nails before (except for my mum but family doesn’t count!). Hopefully it goes well!
Decided to spice things up today, as I have to get rid of this tomorrow to make way for this weekend’s boring work manicure. Yesterday’s Ulta3 Brandy Wine, with Sportsgirl Debut and then China Glaze Electrify. Kinda bumpy and I’m sure it’ll chip if I wear it for more than 24 hours, but ooh…glitter.

Ulta3 Twilight Fever (allegedly a dead on dupe for Chanel Paradoxal - I don’t own the Chanel but have seen posts comparing the two and I can’t tell it apart), with two coats of Finger Paints Flashy on the top. I sprained my left thumb doing some restoration work on my boyfriend’s parents 1927 Chrysler 50, hence the bandage. Made painting my right hand kinda tricky!
work appropriate nails. ulta3 Dusty Rose. formula a bit of a pain on this which is unusual for ulta3 (for me anyway)-thick, gloppy and uncooperative, major cuticle drag. hopefully thinner helps it because it’s quite pretty and my manager even approved of it!
